Overview
This policy explains what Auto Body Fix collects and how it uses information submitted through quote forms, phone calls, email enquiries and workshop communications.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, photos you provide, enquiry details, insurance or fleet information, and any other information you choose to send us when requesting a quote or contacting our workshop.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, assess repair or service needs, communicate with you about your vehicle, arrange bookings and manage customer service records.
Chat assistant
If you use the chat on this website, an automated assistant handles the conversation. It answers questions about our services and helps you describe what your vehicle needs. It cannot quote a price or a repair time — those come from an assessment, and it will point you to the quote form or the workshop phone number instead.
We keep what you tell it: your name and contact details if you give them, the vehicle you are asking about, and the messages themselves. We keep them so that if you come back, you do not have to explain your situation again, and so the workshop can pick up where the conversation left off.
The assistant does not ask for, and you should not send it, your driver licence number, date of birth, payment card details or insurance policy number. Nothing you send it is published.
Some conversations are passed to the workshop owner so a person can answer. That happens whenever the question needs a real answer about your job.
How long we keep information
Enquiry and quote records are kept while they are useful for the work and for our business records afterwards. Chat conversations are kept for twelve months from your last message, then deleted. If a chat becomes a real job, the job record is kept with our other customer records.
Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share relevant information where it is needed to respond to your request or provide a service, including with insurers, suppliers, subcontractors and providers that deliver forms, email or customer communications.
Photos and vehicle information
If you upload or send vehicle photos, we use them to assess your enquiry or quote request. We will not intentionally publish identifiable customer information without permission.
Access, correction and deletion
You may contact us to request access to your personal information, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it.
To have a chat conversation deleted, email us with the phone number or email address you used. We will delete it unless it belongs to a job we still need to keep records for, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 collects information about the pages you visit, how you reached them, your general location, device and browser, and actions such as calling, emailing, opening directions or sending a quote request. Auto Body Fix uses this information to understand how people find and use the site. Advertising signals are disabled.
You can opt out by blocking or disabling Google Analytics in your browser. Google also provides a browser opt-out add-on.
